United ISD Distributing Learning Devices for 2020/21 School Year

All United ISD campuses will begin the new school year on August 24, 2020. Over 42,000 students and 2400+ teachers are preparing for teaching and learning using virtual platforms.The district is providing a device to those students in grades PK- 12 who need a mobile learning device (MLD) and/or access to the internet for daily instruction at home. Campuses are distributing the mobile learning devices to students (at no cost to parents,) provided they have completed the district's registration process. 

Parents may choose to check out a device for their child or select to pick up an instructional packet from their child's campus. Mobile Learning Devices and packet pick up dates and times are being sent to parents from student’s respective campuses via School Messenger. As additional support, and to boost skill levels for teachers, administrators, and instructional support staff, United ISD is offering over 300 training sessions to enhance instructional productivity and integration. Parents and students will have an opportunity to attend 90+ sessions to assist with home instruction as we transition from face to face instruction to an online and virtual learning environment. The district training window is August 4th - 21st, 2020.
