The United Independent School District is closely monitoring the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is in contact with the City of Laredo Health Department to ensure all students and staff members are safe and updated with the latest information from the Center for Disease Control, Texas Health and Human Services, and Texas Education Agency.
COVID-19 continues to be an unprecedented event for our country and United ISD continues to monitor all issues pertaining to this pandemic and has the best interest of our students and staff members in mind.
Please know that United ISD has opened a call center to assist the community with any questions regarding COVID19 and the impact it had on any UISD Event.
United ISD is committed to our goal of 100% of our students being exceptionally prepared for college, career and citizenship. With this goal in mind, and as we navigate an unprecedented period of disruption to our traditional learning environment, we believe learning can happen anywhere and at any time!
Beginning Monday, March 23rd, drive-through food distribution will be offered at select school sites across the District. Meals kits will be provided to any child 18 years old and younger the child must be present. Each meal kit will include breakfast and lunch and will be distributed at the front parking area of each school site on a drive-through basis.
United ISD is currently preparing instructional materials for students for the continuation of instruction at home. We ask that you take a couple of minutes to answer this survey regarding access to technology at home.
Out of an abundance of caution, the United ISD Tax Office will be closed to the public through April 3. Taxes can be paid online or via mail. If you have any questions please contact the United ISD call center at 956-473-8000.

United ISD has closely followed the reports and information shared by our local health department, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). While no cases have been confirmed in our community, we will continue to monitor the situation and will provide information as it becomes available from the public health authorities. Public health officials consider the risk to our school community is low at this time.
With increased news reports about the growing number of cases globally of novel coronavirus (COVID 19) and Texas’ cases increasing, United ISD will continue to monitor this situation. Therefore, we are requesting your cooperation to complete this travel questionnaire. This information is critical in order to attempt to contain the spread of this virus.
