Data Evaluation

The United ISD Data Evaluation Department’s mission is to provide support in the collection, analysis, and reporting of assessment results and program data. The information provided serves to guide day-to-day and long-term instructional planning to positively impact student achievement and progress in learning.

In addition to data dissemination and analysis, the Data Evaluation Department develops and maintains STAAR and TELPAS assessment databases for all schools. Campus test coordinators use these databases to track and manage all student information pertinent to making and managing assessment decisions for every student assessed with state-mandated tests. These databases reside within the IRIS (Instructional Reports and Information System) system and were developed to satisfy the multitude of state, local and campus assessment needs. The department provides support for the deployment of these databases through various modes of professional development in the effective use of the student information and database navigation. The newest database titled: State and Local Assessment Data (SLAD) was deployed at the beginning of the 2016-17 school year and provide immediate reports on all local assessments (CBAs and Benchmarks) as well as individual student progress goals based on previous state assessment results. The major projects for the 2017-18 school year include the development of systems for Student Growth Measure and Local Accountability Plan. These systems will track and report information for teachers, campus administrators, district administrators and will meet state reporting requirements.
